South Carolina residents are no strangers to an occasional car accident in the area, but the thought that it might be caused by negligent drivers who are drag racing may be shocking. A recent accident has police investigating to see if drag racing was the cause.

Drinking and driving can be a deadly combination, and this accident shows how serious it can become. South Carolina residents may have heard about this deadly motorcycle crash on the news recently. According to the reports, a man and woman were both hit and killed by an alleged drunken driver in Orangeburg County. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was driving a car that struck the two motorcyclists on a local highway when he crossed into the wrong lane.

That is less than 1 percent of workers. That number, however, actually represents the fifth-highest rate of serious workplace injuries in the country.

Especially if you are on the highway, it is important to get out of the way of oncoming traffic. For most people, this is not news, but after a serious car accident earlier this week, it seems not everyone is aware of the proper procedure.
