Drinking and driving can be a deadly combination, and this accident shows how serious it can become. South Carolina residents may have heard about this deadly motorcycle crash on the news recently. According to the reports, a man and woman were both hit and killed by an alleged drunken driver in Orangeburg County. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was driving a car that struck the two motorcyclists on a local highway when he crossed into the wrong lane.

For every 100 workers in South Carolina, 0.8 have been injured on the job badly enough that they required days of job restriction or a transfer. That number doesn't sound so bad, right? That is less than 1 percent of workers. That number, however, actually represents the fifth-highest rate of serious workplace injuries in the country.
